Route of the Castles

Guided Tours

Come and discover the castles of the Alicante province with a tailor-made tour. Our guides will take you on an unforgettable journey into the past, revealing the legends of the castles and their inhabitants. You'll also have the opportunity to walk along an ancient medieval road and feel the history of the place beneath your feet.

Available options:

Biar and Villena, guardians of stone

Discover the castles of Alto Vinalopó, the ancient border between valleys and mountains, where their fortresses guarded the passage of travelers. Discover a place full of charm, history, and tradition.

Admire the landscape, learn about its history and legends.

Day Plan:

-Pick-up at the agreed meeting point.

-Visit to Biar: a medieval town center with all the charm of a village, where we will visit:

Plaza de la Constitución, church, town hall, Calle Mayor, small squares and typical alleyways.

Biar Castle.

-Free time.

-Visit to Villena: a walk through Moorish alleyways and the old town, where we will visit:

Villena Castle.
Medieval old town, typical alleyways, Plaza de Santiago, town hall, church.

-Free time.

-Return to the meeting point. End of the tour.

Meeting point: Plaza de los Luceros, 11 (Tobacco Shop). 03004 Alicante.

Schedule and duration: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, approximately 6 hours. Other times available upon request.

Language: Spanish. Tours can also be conducted in English, French, Italian, and Valencian.

Prices:

-Visit to Petrer: a walk through Moorish alleyways and the old town, where we will visit:

Petrer Castle.

Cave houses.

-Free time.

-Return to the meeting point. End of the tour.
